Terms, privacy and refunds

Terms of use

What this is

SpiritVale Companion is an unofficial, third party companion application for the game SpiritVale. It is not made by, published by, endorsed by or supported by Baikun Interactive or anyone who works on SpiritVale. All game names, marks and artwork belong to their owners and are referred to here only to say which game this software works with.

Your licence

A valid key gives you a personal, non transferable right to install and use the software on one device, and to run up to the number of simultaneous game clients your key was issued for. This is a licence to use the software, not a sale of it. We keep ownership of the software itself.

Account risk, and it is real

Automating gameplay may break SpiritVale's own terms of service. It can lead to a warning, a suspension, or the permanent loss of your game account, and that decision belongs entirely to the people who run the game. We do not control it, we cannot see it coming, and we cannot appeal it. We do not claim the software is undetectable.

You use it at your own risk and your game account is your own responsibility. We accept no responsibility or liability for any warning, restriction, suspension, ban, loss of items or currency, character deletion, or anything else that happens to your game account, whether or not it follows from using this software. An account that is actioned is not grounds for a refund.

Your key

Each key activates on one device, identified by a hardware fingerprint. To move a key to a new or reformatted PC, ask us and we will move it. There is no charge and no limit on how often.

• Do not share, sell, sublicense or publicly post your key.
• Do not try to bypass, spoof or remove the device binding.
• Do not try to run more simultaneous clients than your key allows.

Things you may not do

• Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the software, except where the law says you may despite this.
• Redistribute, resell or repackage the software or any part of it.
• Use it to harass other players or to disrupt the game's economy at scale.
• Use it for anything unlawful.

Updates

The app checks for and installs its own updates, and updates the component it puts into your game client, so it keeps working when the game changes.

No warranty, and the limit of what we owe you

The software is provided as is and as available, with no warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of it, including anything done to your game account. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed what you paid for your key in the twelve months before the claim.

Ending it

We may suspend or withdraw a key if we reasonably believe these terms have been broken, without a refund. You may stop using the software whenever you like.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continuing to use the software after a change means you accept the revised version, and the date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed.

Privacy

What leaves your computer

When your licence is checked, the app sends our licence service three things and nothing else:

• your licence key, so we know which licence it is,
• your Device ID, so the key stays tied to one machine,
• a hashed hardware identifier, for the same reason.

Ordinary request information such as a timestamp and an IP address is handled by the server as part of serving the request.

What never leaves your computer

The app never touches your Steam or SpiritVale password. There is nowhere in it to type one and it never asks. It does not send us your gameplay, your chat, your inventory, your character names or screenshots. Everything it does while you play stays on your own machine, and the activity log it writes is a local file you can read.

What we do with it

Only this: check that your licence is valid, keep it bound to one device, enforce the number of clients you paid for, keep your session alive while you use the app, deliver updates, and help you if you contact us. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers. The app bundles no analytics and no advertising code.

This website

This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and stores nothing on your device, so there is nothing here to consent to.

What you send us through this website

Two forms on this site send us information, and both only when you fill them in and press the button:

• When you tell us a GCash payment has been sent, we receive the reference number, the name you sent it from, the Discord handle or email you gave us, and your Device ID if you supplied it. We use it to match your payment against our own records and to send your token back.
• When you send us your Device ID after a purchase, we receive that ID and anything you typed in the optional note.

Both are delivered to a private channel that only we can read. We never see your GCash PIN, your bank details or your card details, because you never enter them here.

How long we keep it

We keep licence records while a licence is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards for support and to prevent fraud.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your licence record, or ask us to delete it once your licence has ended. Ask us on Discord. We may need to check you are the licence holder first.

Children

This software is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Refunds

What you are buying

A key is a fixed term digital product for the client capacity and length shown at checkout. It is delivered as soon as the payment completes and can be activated immediately.

Sales are final

Because a key is delivered instantly and can be used straight away, we do not offer refunds once a purchase completes, including for a key you have not activated.

An actioned game account is not refundable

If your game account is warned, suspended, banned or otherwise actioned by the people who run SpiritVale, that is not grounds for a refund. Automation carries that risk, you accept it when you use the software, and it is outside our control.

When we got it wrong

The exception: if something went wrong on our end, a duplicate charge, a billing error, or a purchase that never delivered a working key, tell us and we will put it right.

Before a chargeback

Please talk to us first. We would much rather fix it directly. A chargeback filed without contacting us may result in the key being withdrawn.

Reaching us

Support and billing questions go through our Discord server. The invite comes with your key, and the app's Info tab links you to the same place.
